Great insight. Thanks!
I'm using these air heaters from Amazon along with the included vat heaters and routing the wires through the routing holes that are already in the floor of the printers' enclosures. I drilled a small hole in the bottom back panel of each printer for wire egress instead of using the pre-existing hole on the right side of the enclosure. The Peopoly heaters are cheaper but the temperature is not adjustable and has a wider range than I'd like. Also I plan on adding this insulation to the inside of the printer enclosure.
I don't have any venting at the moment. The printers are in my unfinished basement which has plenty of vent openings and so far I don't seem to have any issues with it. I also wonder if active venting would hinder the ability of the air heater to maintain a warm temperature?
I agree that the camera isn't particularly useful. I don't have them installed.
Yeah, the WiFi only works with Vlare. I've never found WiFi particularly useful for a resin printer because you need to go to the printer before printing anyway to prepare the resin (or at least stir it), you need to go to the printer to remove and process the printer after printing, and you already know how much time it will take during printing. So what's the point? I guess if you're paranoid and want to make sure the printer is still on and printing while you wait...
I bought 3 Wham Bam plates (one for each printer plus a spare) and none of the magnets would stick to the build platform even after thoroughly cleaning and sanding. I bought from Matter Hackers who sometimes are a bit uneven so maybe they stored them in a warehouse with no climate control and the glue went bad. I bought much cheaper no-name flexible plates on Ali Express and they work perfectly.
I hadn't noticed the Z-carriage rattle you mention perhaps because I'm rarely in the room when a print finishes and when I am in the room I stop the Z-axis before it gets all the way to the top. I just now manually sent both to the top from the menu and I hear it. That sounds bad. It's strange that I haven't noticed it before. Have you tried contacting Peopoly? Hopefully they can fix that with a firmware update. I have Lychee Pro and it does allow changing the Z-axis height but I doubt that would correct the issue because it happens even when not printing and just using the front panel controls.
I haven't had a cleaning issue because I'm mainly just using cheap ABS-like resin so far.
