Note: the specs on the 201176 call for a NG input pressure of 5”-7” WC. This is an atypical and narrow range, so check with your NG supplier to see what your meter pressure is. The standard in my area is 9.1” WC. Contacted Champion support and the tech I spoke with says there is no wiggle-room on that input range with the internal regulator. I had to add a second pressure regulator and adjust it down to 7” WC. Not difficult at all, but just a possible speed bump to be aware of.
I used the linked Maxitrol from Amazon. There are cheaper, but the Maxitrol is good down to -40°. Most of the Chinese clones are only good down to 32°. I added a quick disconnect at the meter and located the regulator on the hose/generator side, so it wouldn’t have to be out in the elements when I wasn’t using the generator.
