This Raspberry Pi Hub HAT provides more USB capability to your Pi, plus a RJ45 Ethernet port, which is great when you need a stable wired Ethernet connection.(Ethernet / USB HUB HAT for Raspberry Pi, 1x RJ45 Ethernet Port, 3x USB Ports)

I'm planning to buy a Raspberry Pi Zero W in order to use it as a r/pihole. However this version has just a wireless interface. Since i need a stable connection i want to add an ethernet port. I could do this in few ways:

From the technical point of view which one is more stable and best for DNS traffic?

With the second option could i use just the USB plugged in my Fritzbox
7490 without the ethernet cable, since the USB is already providing
connectivity?

Thanks!
