Yeah I have the perfect book for you. It has a professional business style, the stories are all about people learning to thrive in difficult jobs and meeting their goals...

The core is, you have process goals, and product goals. If you are focused on the outcomes, you don't perform well. Understanding what the best process goals to have is half the battle.

The other piece of advice is, start on your new schedule starting today, pick when you are going to wake up, go to bed, when lights out are, what your routine is in the morning, and start that now... And then instead of a work day, spend that time preparing and practicing or studying, so you're in the rhythm, with your circadian, with the effort level you are putting out, so you have less of an adjustment. Something I would do is go to the library, then get lunch or bring lunch, starbucks, so I was around people, instead of being at home every day and then into this new environment.

Some of the stuff in that book is like, state control, breathing, and grounding yourself, having your visualization reel, not like of your goals and vision board, like actually of the state you want to be in, your motivation, what's focusing you. So you know what to be thinking in that moment. Sometimes, the left fielder is out there worrying about his house or his contract, when he is supposed to be thinking about what kind of hitting this is, what pitch, so he gets the right jump on the ball... instead of being one step too late. So, instead of worrying, ask, "what is one thing I could do or think right now that would help me perform and reach my process goal, you already know what your product goal is right... I hope that helps
