It's about having the right equipment that is flexible. You obviously can't use the same camera across 2 devices. Use it where you need it. If you video conference a lot for work, obviously you want the good camera there.
I run a dual boot desktop, and M1 Mac Mini which share 2 ultra wide monitors and work with one keyboard and mouse. Peripherals include a Sony 5100 that I use as a webcam, 2 mics (boom and dynamic) and a set of speakers. One desk.
How I do it (hopefully it will give you some ideas that you can do with your work/personal computers):
I mainly use the PC for work, the MAC for any video or streaming or creative stuff, and Ubuntu is just for play and experiments and OSINT stuff.
Keyboard shortcuts work on each specific OS. Yes, I can copy from the PC and paste to the MAC. I think it works with Ubuntu too but I haven't tired it.
I can have the PC on one monitor, Mac on the other, or mix and match PC/PC, MAC/MAC, PC/Mac, Ubuntu/Ubuntu, Ubuntu/MAC. Same keyboard, mouse, speakers and monitors. No splitters. No KVM switches.
I don't know if any of that helps, but just letting you know that it's possible to run multiple computers, share storage, and use the same peripherals across each and run dual monitors , 1 keyboard and 1 mouse on your desk.
Your work probably has it's own storage and doesn't want you using your personal stuff for work stuff, but I can see how you can set things up to easily switch between the two when needed.
You could also ask work to supply another camera, or don't use any of your personal things on your work device at all, and let the quality of what they get match the quality of what they provided.
