I have tried quite a few at this point; I prefer butterfly closure since they are easier on/off for sweaty hands, and can be opened completely to dry quickly between uses. These are my fav for my hot climate, they are made of cooler mesh and quicker-drying cloth, which is good for comfort AND longevity, plus they have D30 in the palms which in theory could prevent transferring as much impact shock up to your elbow, shoulder or collarbone should you make the mistake of breaking a fall with your hands (which you should try not to ever do! But it's hard not to.)
I also have a pair of Triple 8 Hired Hands fingerless-glove style - these provide more hand/finger protection from abrasion, but they don't have the D30, and they get hot and sweaty, and stinky if you don't dry them out (I use a glove dryer on them and wear them more at night or when the weather gets cooler).
