I bought a metal one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0966SX6ZL
I used a heat gun to loosen the reflective stickers covering the screws on the plastic caps covering the axle nuts. Peeled those up, but not all the way off. Removed the caps, then removed the axle nuts. Removed the rear wheel/motor assembly. It's pretty heavy so you'll need to support that with something so it doesn't pull on its wires too much. Put the fender support bracket in place and screwed it to the fender. Put everything back together.
It was a little difficult, not gonna lie. Need to properly support the scooter on top of something while you're working on it. And the bracket... It twisted a little bit when I tightened the axle nuts down on it. Also, the bracket causes the plastic axle caps to not sit entirely flush against the scooter.
