They try to prevent you from jumping but they'll also let you do it on your own time and prescribe you comfort meds. I'm down to .70mg a day. I'm tapering .05 every 2 weeks and am in full blown withdrawals from the .75 as we speak. Literally writing this from my permanent fixture in the bathroom lol a 1mg jump is going to be really really uncomfortable. For drug tests, they don't test for bupe normally (even for government jobs they don't test for it). I think you'll be okay with tapering, I really would caution about jumping at 1mg.
To take a reduced dose, dilute 8mg of subs with 8mL of distilled water. That's what I do. You can buy the items online. Bottle with Dropper

Also to help with wd get this and take 300mg Vitamin C for every kg you weigh. I weigh 200lbs and take around 23grams a day and it helps ease the wd symptoms slightly. It's Vitamin C with less acid so it doesn't upset your stomach. Every teaspoon is equivalent to 4400mg of Vitamin C. 1teaspoon in a 6fl oz of diluted juice to help with upset stomach as well. 50%juice (apple, cranberry, anything honestly) and 50% filtered water.
