I've been using these, probably an older version though. They're only around 40-50$ which is cheap compared to other noise canceling headphones. Had em for 2 years now and they're still holding up great. Don't need to listen to music, can activate the canceling with a switch.

I work right by my ac/heater so they cancel it out pretty well. Wooden floors are more vibration through your body or seat, but I think they'd do a good job for sure.
