Do you think the Lenovo Flex 5 would work as good as your Surface, like what should I be looking for in a 2in1 laptop for drawing specially landscapes?
You can always add more storage as per your need.

Personally, I like desktop machines for the extra power (i.e. for gaming) but that is not needed for school. Any somewhat recent laptop would be fine. WGU only supports Windows and MacOS, unfortunately you can't use Chromebooks or Linux. So I think a Windows 10 laptop is probably your best bet. Building a PC is not great right now because it is very hard to find affordable parts, so normally that would be an option but not the best time today.
AMD Ryzen CPUs are very good, I would recommend that. The school projects aren't that crazy, so even a cheaper laptop would still be okay. Or if you would prefer a desktop, there are smaller pre-builts that are still available and would work okay. I like desktop because I like a full keyboard and mouse, also a larger monitor. So you could do that as well, not sure if you already have a monitor.
This is the laptop I have. I use my desktop mostly, but I have studied on this while travelling.

It's pretty nice for the price, unfortunately gaming performance is not there, but for general computing it's fine. I like that it is touch screen, comes with a stylus, and has a fingerprint reader. Can also double as a tablet, very good for plane rides or watching movies in a hotel.
If you are looking for a cheaper desktop machine, Minisforum has some nice kits. I had an older one, forget the model number, but this one looks decent for the price.

You can mount it on the back of a monitor if you get one with VESA mounting holes (depends on the monitor, you'll have to check that the holes are there without removing the stand). Looks like it can even do some low-end gaming and should be fine for school work.
If you find anything else you are looking at, post the link here and I can let you know if I think it's a good choice. Or you could look at the newer models of the ones I shared. Hope that helps.
Oh really. I'm also plan to buy directly form Amazon its around total 1100 USD/222000 LKR with Import Fees Deposit + Shipping Lenovo Flex 5 . (Import Fees Deposit-339.16USD i don't know why other laptop around 51USD as per Amazon the will refund extra). Is all bank restricted to 200USD. if so only option seems to be Kapruka Lenovo Flex 5 price in Kapruka.
Already check with eParcel Freight charge-45USD+Duty & Taxes 75USD almost same as Kapruka. My worry is if i order through Kapruka if shipping delay more than 30 days any warranty claim and if cargo came as damage or not as describe or dead in arrival how we going to return and contact Amazon since Kapruka use their US address to order items.
There is also a Lenovo 4500U for $600 on Amazon.
I wouldn't say it's the greatest deal, but it's leagues ahead of the i3 you were looking at. You also got a better display since the i3 only had a 1366x768 screen resolution which is ugly as hell.
For around $100 more (before tax) you could have gotten this
Overall though, unless you're going to be doing engineering, your laptop should be just fine for basic school use (using word, browsing the web, etc).
