Something like this should do the trick. The Book of Judith is a personal favorite as it inspired one of my favorite works of art called Judith Slaying Holofernes by Artemisia Gentileschi.

If you like studying non-canonical writings I would maybe do this instead of the above link because this will get you some of the pseudepigrapha writings in addition to the traditional Apocrypha. And then you could do something like the Nag Hammadi after that. Enjoy!
