I bought button up tops and yoga pants I could pull up. The first couple of days I just wore the long tops so I did not have to pull anything up. When I woke up the ace bandage (some surgeons use this) and my surgery bra had blood on it. But I never had leakage. Some people have leakage and it may get on your clothes. Below are the clothes and gauze/pads I got on Amazon if it helps.
I used gauze to “pad” my stitches bc they were really sensitive and used these bandaids to cover everything. I used this the first surgery and just now after my second surgery.
I was also told to keep covering my steristrips with more if they needed reinforcement and got these.
Also, wanted to mention this was exactly how my surgeon covered them day one and again at my first post-op before I had my stitches removed

I'm not looking to treat a GSW. Just the ordinary boo-boos that happen (like tripping and falling, or maybe hammer bite). Got car keys and a cellphone to handle a GSW.
Below are Amazon links of things I got... Some things I found out only after I was home. I am now 3 months PO. Your Dr will give you pain meds/all prescriptions ahead of time. Fill them ASAP so you have them.
Favorites: Flexible ice packs - ones below keep cold for a long time and fold up to take up less room in the freezer. Also the silicone straws - they go to the bottom of a big smart water bottle and were life savers! I could not pick up the bottle for a few days. The pregnancy pillow did not work for me so I wasted money on that one. But alot of people love it.
Zip up sports bra - Comes in a 3 pack
Button up sleeping shirt/day shirt - I wore just these for the first couple days so I did not have to bend over and pull up my pants
Silicone straw for smart water bottle - Amazing if you can not pick up a big bottle at first
Flexible Ice pack - Stay COLD for hours
Silicone scar sheets - There is a cheaper brand but it feels more like masking tape.

this type of gauze sticks to itself, but it's not sticky so it shouldn't bother your skin.
you can put this type of gauze pad on the wound, then wrap it in the adhesive gauze to hold it there and just change the gauze pad as needed. hope this helps!
