I got myself these:
In doing the research on it I wanted to get gloves that encourage sliding into your fall as opposed to cushioning impact. Its better to have your hands slide out in front of you superman style instead of absorbing the impact into your wrist which has some of the most complicated potential for really bad breaks and fractures.
This does mean youd also want to make sure your chest, shoulders, arms and back are more protected since youre taking the brunt of the fall with your core and possibly sliding, but from all the falls Ive had, wrist sprains alone are so much more worrying and troublesome since your wrists have some of the tiniest bones and crazy assortment of ligaments and nerves.
FYI this is my winter pair. There is also a more breathable fabric version for roughly the same price and theyre cheap enough to merit owning both.
Good luck searching and ride safe!
