I love these!!! So pretty and finepoint! U can get them for cheaper in store or get lesser colors too!

Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens, .3mm, Metal Clad Tip, 20-Pack, Assorted (334SB20BK) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007OEE7E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_wWNbGbNQ1YZ0K

Currently, I’m into pilot V5 which is also fine tip! Give it 2-3 seconds before touching it. It won’t smudge unless you just wrote and touched it the same second.

PILOT Precise V5 Stick Deco Collection Liquid Ink Rolling Ball Stick Pens, Extra Fine Point (0.5mm) Assorted Ink Colors, 9-Pack (38811) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NAH0070/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_uYNbGb96YT75G

For markets, I recommend mild liner, which is literally what the name says! Mild colors, pastel.

Zebra Pen MILDLINER 5/PK FLUORESCNT, Multicolors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C1BRS5N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_QYNbGbXPYZ6TK

Another user recommends G2 pilot pens, I love them, but I personally feel if you love fine point, it may be a bit thicker, but has a beautiful texture while writing on paper.

I also use prismacolor pencils and the colorless blender for 95% of my work. I also use Staedtler pens (link: http://www.amazon.com/STD334SB20A6-Staedtler-Triplus-Fineliner-Pens/dp/B0007OEE7E this is the exact set I have) for outlining and getting into REALLY small spots. I also use a variety of Gelly Roll pens. Usually the Glaze, puffy, and sparkly pens (Gelly Roll has a clear sparkle pen that I like to use for highlighting things in my pictures like the feathers of a dove or something). I have a few Tombow markers that I'm meh about, they tend to bleed. I just ordered some Copic Sketch markers from Dick Blick (only 5 of them, start small) and want to see how they are. My boyfriend wanted to get me some posters I could color and I think those copic markers would be awesome for some of the bigger spaces.

TLDR: I use a little bit of everything but prismacolor pencils are my go to for everything.

Triplus Fineliner all day erryday. They're even finer - .3 mm. I discovered them when I was taking Japanese classes when I was in college the first time. Beautiful. I got them because they're great for writing kanji in small notebooks, but I use them all the time. And so many colors! I like to color code my notes (and pretty much everything else) so they're perfect.

IMO there is not much difference between the Schmidt 888 rollerball refill and the Pentel Energel gel refill. In fact I changed the Lamy Rollerball refill to a Pentel Energel refill in this pen.

So here are a couple of suggestions: uni Alpha-Gel with the Pentel Energel needle-point 0.5mm refill - also available in 0.3mm and 0.4mm

You can also use the same refills in the Dr. Grip Limited Gel Pen.

The 0.3 and 0.4mm are available in red and blue ink, the 0.5mm refill is available in more colors.

If you are going to be writing on satin or glossy paper, the go with the 0.3mm Staedtler Triplus Fineliner which comes in many colors, including black.
