I think I found the doc in question. It links to a radio shack page (they're still around?!), but I swear that doesn't look like the right switch. It has blade type terminals, rather than through-hole pins. Have you tried any of those?

EDIT: I take that back, every one I see seems to have those style terminals.

Do you think these would work? I could trim the lever arm if they were too long.
