I'm just starting back in and like these: http://www.amazon.com/Sakura-XNCW-24N-24-Piece-Assorted-Colors/dp/B001OVG40E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352107555&sr=8-1&keywords=koi+watercolor
You don't really need an easel; you can use a pad on your lap, or even a smaller journal, depending on how big you want to paint.
Brushes, for starters you can get by fine with a cheapo kit: http://www.amazon.com/Loew-Cornell-Taklon-Angular-Spotter/dp/B004SEZPKE/ref=sr_1_6?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1352108099&sr=1-6&keywords=golden+taklon+brush+set
Or get a waterbrush for more portability: http://www.amazon.com/Royal-Brush-Aqua-flo-Set-3/dp/B001H8IIUI/ref=sr_1_8?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1352108143&sr=1-8&keywords=waterbrush
