Another option is fiber optic USB-C cables. You can use a hub without a captive USB-C cable on it (Like this or this) and a fiber optic USB-C Cable (like this).

The Hub will need a separate power supply for it since the fiber optic cable will only pass like ~5W through it to the hub. A cheap USB-C power supply (30W USB-C chargers are cheap and more than enough) and a regular old USB-C cable will then power the hub.
