Proprietary, expensive, and easy approach: Some home automation button, for example an Aqara (which also requires a hub), triggering some smart light bulb.
DIY, cheap, lots of work approach: build your button with a keyboard switch, plastic - be creative, or maybe your school, a friend, or a parent of a friend has a 3D printer, or some public libraries even offer 3D printing services these days - and a raspberry pi (expensive) or micro-board with wifi (cheaper), for example the Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 for wireless connectivity. You would still probably want to buy a smart light bulb to trigger, since from what I can tell they should be about as cheap as buying another Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 and wiring it to some normal light bulb.
Yea here’s the link
Gave up on the Broadlink buttons, I am evaluating Aqara Button https://www.amazon.com/Aqara-WXKG11LM-Switch-Wireless-Remote/dp/B07D19YXND/
If you get an aqara camera and can set it up to have a view of the porch and then you get an aqara miniswitch and set it up with only one push, and that one push activates a change in camera status, plays a tone on a homepod mini, and sends you a notification, that'd be something that works, I'm thinking. It's kinda what I was considering.
The picture on this shows a hub that's a speaker but the camera is a hub too.
