- stock hotend. seems to work perfect.
- Spare bowden tube parts for hotend. Amazon Link for Bowden Parts
- replaced X and Y bearings in the upper hotend as I was having backlash issues. PN: LM8LUU 8x15x45mm Amazon Link for Bearings
- I made new, bigger, better Gantry Bearing retainer caps as all 4 of mine were cracked.
- I made a fume extractor funnel that attaches to the rear of the unit over the exhaust fans.
- I made a fume extractor from a hepa filter unit. Amazon link for Filter
- I added a heater inside the chamber to bring up the air temps while printing ABS, and because the fume extractor drops the air temp slightly. I'm working on reheating the exhausted air from the fume extractor and routing back to the enclosure keeping it all contained. Amazon Link for Heater
- PEI Flexible Build sheet. I added it directly on top of the glass plate. be aware that it comes with a protective film on the smooth side that needs to be removed. I struggled for the first 5 prints not knowing this and couldn't get anything to stick to the build plate. Worked perfect after removing the film. Amazon Link for Build Plate
- I'm working on adding a camera to the existing camera hole. not looking forward to tearing down the machine again to get at it. Amazon Link for Camera
- I also have a BL-Touch to add to the printer yet. it would plug right in and setting it up should be easy, but I have to 3d print a mount and I don't think that the provided cable will reach on its own.
- At some point I might make an AUX cooling fan like what is on the Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. But at this point it isn't needed.
This has made it a pretty reliable rig for ABS and PLA-CF. The key is slow and steady. I run all my PLA and PET/PETG on my Bambu printer as its 5x faster and higher quality.
