This Flat Wooden organizer with slots for cards, a bit on the expensive side but can last a decent amount of time if you keep it clean of oils.
Here's a 4-pack of plastic organizers that you could get for your entire group. It's pricey and doesn't have a great profile but makes it easy because of the bundle pack.
Lastly, here's a character playmat if you don't want something as big as a full organizer. Accomplishes the same goal with less vertical space but potentially a bit more horizontal space.
We got these recently and have done 5 or 6 scenarios with them. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F6ZLJMX
I didn't think I'd care for them at first (my wife got them on a whim), but after using them for a bit the things I like are:
The biggest thing I don't like is it can be kind of easy to knock over the item cards if you bump them. Cost to value probably isn't super great at $24/2 boards (x2 because we're doing 4 characters) but it's an okay QoL upgrade on something we're going to spend a couple hundred hours on.
Here's what they look like set up for my two characters.
I still play my cards on the table (discard left, lost right, active top)
