I use this tripod https://www.amazon.com/SLIK-Pro-700-Tripod-Legs/dp/B001B2I9L8?ref_=d6k_applink_bb_marketplace it's pretty stable and well priced get a decent ball head or leveling base and you'll be good to go
I got myself a SLIK Pro 700 DX tripod and a cheap chinesium ball head. This is the "cheap" way of doing it if you're not sure how much your going to use it before dropping the big money on an RRS or the like. Warning... it is heavy so if you're hiking into your shooting spot... this may not be for you
I'm happy with this as I can get my rifle on there and it's stable but, there hasn't been a good spot in a match to use it, aside from barricade stages but that's just using the legs, and it's spent most it's time holding up my spotter. Great for dry fire practice though.
This SLIK tripod is the exact same OEM as the Shadowtech pig (source: I have the Shadowtech and compared it at a match a few months ago) and is cheaper by about $30. I put this ball head on mine for my 15x binoculars, and it's solid. I used to use an amazon basics tripod, but it was too light and blew around like crazy in the wind. The Slik/Shadowtech is SO much better. I freaking love spotting with it. I can use it sitting, I can use it standing (I'm 5'11") without bending over, the list goes on. I highly recommend it.
