This kind of what I mean, no one knows what memory the models have and it's causing a ton of confusion.
All of these have a Snapdragon 865 with 5G:
It seems that M = Mint, B = Blue, R = Red etc.
If I purchased an S20 FE thinking I was getting 8GB of memory and it instead had 6GB, I'd immediately exchange it. I suspect this is going to happen to some people and Samsung going to processing a good amount of returns.
Amazon showing 8GB is probably a typo at this point, but who knows?
That's unfortunate, says $225 for me in the US.
$100 isn't too terrible. You might be able to get a bit more if you sell it yourself, but that varies and can be a hassle.
In the US Amazon is offering $100 towards the S20 FE as a trade-in if the device is in good condition and it's $100 cheaper than Samsung ($599 vs $699 USD). So that's ~$200 combined savings. This is totally region dependent though and the crack is probably going to get you a bit less or may get you reject from the program. It's tough...
This is Samsung's general trade in page: https://www.samsung.com/us/trade-in/ I'm not sure if they'll offer anything different after launch, unfortunately I doubt it.
Yes, but it doesn't say that on the purchase page, anywhere. Just "128GB" for the storage and an unavailable 512GB option.
Then you have this confusing mess:
M = Mint, B = Blue, R = Red, etc...
There's a B variant at B&H with 6GB and then a G variant at Amazon and Best Buy with either 8GB and 6GB.
Amazon is possibly a typo, but Samsung isn't doing their best to clarify which model has what RAM.
Looks like the US version only has 6GB of RAM with the only outlier being Amazon, which is showing 8GB even though it has the same model number as the 6GB variant. See my post here for a run down of some retailers.
I personally am holding off until this is clarified by Samsung.
