Every bird is different, but mine tends to like shreddable things and foraging toys.
If you want to buy, these have been the best purchases I’ve made so far: - Planet Pleasures Octopus Piata Bird Toy, Large https://a.co/d/8ch2Cw5 - KATUMO Bird Foraging Toys,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B74WB7NT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - Super Bird Creations SB632... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HM1WEG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - KATUMO Bird Toys, Bird Foraging... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B093SM8CBL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I also regularly make/upscale toys from household items and pieces of toys he’s destroyed. He likes those just as much as the ones I buy. Basically, before I throw anything away, I ask “is this bird safe?” and then “how can I make a toy out of this?”
I’ve bought some foot toys, but his all-time faves are Gatorade caps, binder clips, chopsticks, and ink pens. 🤷🏻♀️
Shredded paper, seagrass mats, finger traps, soft wood like yucca and sola, cardboard, wicker and vine shapes (like stars, balls, chains, etc), palm flowers, and loofah are all great things to look for bird toys.
I recommend the brands bonka bird toys and super bird creations, if you want specific toy recommendations and use Amazon, my birds really liked this, this (although I took all the cotton off), this, this, and, probably the best toy of all, bird kabobs.
