The Govee are definitely not necessary. You don't need any RH monitoring inside the jars at all, but if you want something to act as an alarm for if your desiccant packs become saturated, just get one of the cheapy ones. They can read 99% just fine ;p.

You can see what some of my jars look like (random pics) here. The general thing is, the water vapor tends to concentrate at the bottom of the jar (based on my govee readings), so just make sure to carpet the bottom of your jar with silica packs. I tried to leave some nooks for my tall colas to stand on (stem down).

With my non-colas, I ended up making layers starting with the bottom being packs, then buds, then another pack, then the buds. My thinking there was that if we have one big blob of buds, it'll act like a super thick nug, and the interior of the flowers will take a long time to dry down to where they're safe from mold (under 65% water activity).
