Not enough. The 3M with the pancake P100 filters are a better choice. Amazon carries them for a decent price. I like this one. It doesnt fog up inside of your helmet. https://www.amazon.com/3M-Comfort-Facepiece-Reusable-Respirator/dp/B00IF7RCU6/ref=sr_1_5?crid=10AUPW2ZIVZKP&keywords=3m%2Brespirator%2Bmask&qid=1675267196&sprefix=3m%2B%2Caps%2C82&sr=8-5&th=1
I’ve fit one under there, seems to work fine for me. Which respirator do you use?
I use this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IF7RCU6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CBP19SF82TWY4PQP13DT
With the tiny flat filters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009POHH94/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_4RJ4Q2A1B2RW3DSFNG0E
Amazon lists plenty of clones. None of them will show the brand as "3M", and none of them will be shipped from / sold by Amazon.com

Item model number and manufacturer in product detail section do not match (6001 manufactured by FY -- what?!)
Amazon is a 3M distribution partner, but will sell anything that doesn't present a legal risk to them. The clones you find on Amazon are obviously such. If you don't want a chinese knockoff... don't buy one :)
I was a Red badge Nuclear safety Inspector and have 1000’s of hours in Hazmat suits. Avoid N95s unless that’s all that’s left.
Low restriction masks like the P100 3M 7093B, 3M 2291 and 3M 2297 are so much easier to breath through than last years 3M P100 2091 and 2097’s. P100 is the best and also helps with inorganic vapors, smoke, oils etc,. P100’s usually help catch smaller micron particles (even if that’s not mentioned) and over all around a broader range of protection then N100’s. N100 is second best when Ordering off of Amazon. N99 third best. N95 only if everything else is sold out as it’s not really full protection.
Amazon is not sold out yet. You're better off with a P100 mask with vey low restriction like the 3M 7093B much more surface area on the filter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CT4STXV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Or the more compact 3M 2291 or 2297 low restriction P100’s. The 2297 is almost the same as the 2291 but it has more carbon in the filter that’s why it’s gray. The 2297s are also better for smoke, ozone, organic vapor, paint fumes, oils, ect.. and just slightly more resistance than the 2291.
You would still need the actual mask like the 3M Rugged Comfort Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 6503/49491, Large https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IF7R9LS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Here’s some "soft" 3m P100’s masks with Exhalation Valves.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001BXRRH4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If shit hits the fan with a very high death rate and you have to drive to a crowned store to buy necessities for your family like food. You would be better off with a full face mask that protects your eyes.. This is the cheapest "Full Face" mask that can take 3m P100 Filters https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RTMBS7D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You would also be more protected in a Tyvek suit with a hood booties and gloves. I would be wearing them if the death toll climbs into the 10,000's or more. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Tyvek+suit&i=tools&rh=p_85%3A2470955011&s=price-asc-rank&dc&qid=1579939650&rnid=2470954011&ref=sr_nr_p_85_1
If you think your getting ripped off on Amazon as the prices are climbing you can go here and paste the Amazon URL at the top field and see the price history to know if the prices just doubled or whatever. I’m expecting masks to sell out within a week or less. https://camelcamelcamel.com
