I bought this for $12 or less. Just a random brand of many. At first there were some odd quirks as some lengthy boot times for Tiger and Disk Utility bugs. I’d have to doublecheck what kind exactly.
Not a Startech but it has OS 9, 10.1, 10.2 and 10.4 running concurrently so that’s a win in my book, considering how picky Macs are with RAM, SSDs, or HDDs for Classic ones.
Edit: iMac G3 Model Snow White 600mhz
I bought this adaptor for $11. Cheap and worked perfectly for an old MacBook hard drive.
I may just need to use what the other guy said below. Startech was name dropped as a reliable brand.
I always partition my drives for OS X so I could skip the CD-RW drive.
OS X Tiger/Jaguar/Mac OS 9/ (INSERT choice of OS X Install disc restored)
Everything booted well, and installation of OS X was faster even if the last partition is the slowest.
I used 120GB for SSD. 160GB for SATA HDD but the iMac can only show up to 128GB.
