I think I can help with powering it up. You can buy one of these advanced power strips. Whatever you plug into the “Master” outlet powers up the strip. For example, I have one inside my barstick which is powered by a small PC. When I turn on the PC, the “Master” outlet senses it and the rest of the power strip turns on and powers up the marquee and the speakers.

That being said, for my build I had to solder two wires to the PC motherboard to connect an external power button. But yours could be different.
