There are these wool balls that you can throw in the dryer instead of the disposable sheets. They've been a "lifehack" for us. We did just have to get new ones after a little over 2 years because the pet hair gets stuck in them and they stop working as well. Otherwise they worked well, were fairly priced and good for the environment. Link to what I'm talking about if you're interested:
