While I don't agree with them, I do wonder what Amazon's internal standard is for not carrying a book. What makes these books particularly egregious and not, say, The Turner Diaries, The Camp of Saints, or anti-vax books. Where do they draw the line?

edit: I'd really love for one of the people downvoting me to engage with what I said. I'm not a fan of conversion therapy, but Amazon carries books like Mein Kampf and white nationalist trash like The Turner Diaries. Mein Kampf has historical significance. People should be able to read it. Banning it would actually be a victory for holocaust deniers.

On the other hand, I think the world would be a better place if The Turner Diaries wasn't sold to anyone. It's contemporaneous, the author was alive only 17 years ago, and it's inspired a ton of hate crimes. Should it be banned from Amazon?

What about conspiracy nonsense like David Icke? Should he be banned? I get that Amazon isn't the government and can choose to not carry any book they want, but at what point are they just telling people what they can and can't read?
