It should work fine, but for an even cheaper option you might check out these deca adapters. They are slower than the MOCA adapters since they aren't gigabit ports, but for your use they should be plenty fast. And they are less than half the price.

I have them in my house to get wired internet from downstairs up to my desktop PC upstairs. Everything runs on the unused coax in my walls. They are basically plug and play as long as you are not running TV service over your coax.
