After some research, I decided to use this rug along with the this pad. I really like this rug because it is designed very well and it is thick without being shaggy. It is a very sturdy rug, definitely worth the price.

My daughter is now 14 months old and we recently raised her bed off the floor [about a foot] and she fell out of her a couple of times and I felt this rug and the extra cushion from the rug pad kept her from getting hurt. She now does not roll out of her bed. She's been sleeping on the floor bed since about 3-4 months old. We did bed share for a while then struggled getting her to sleep on the floor bed after being in our bed which is why we decided to raise her bed around when she turned a year and we haven't had a problem since.
