Might sound OK with a pure sine wave inverter... but how are you planning to install it? Car stereo amps have separate inputs for main power and a remote turn-on wire. That's not the case for inverters. (You'll pop a fuse if you try to run an inverter to run a 120V sub amp off the cigarette lighter port.)
