Good question. I see that it supports legal size paper, however I am not sure how that works since Portrait only cuts up to 8" wide.
I downloaded the software ahead of time, to get familiar with the software. In theory the Portrait can support up to 60ft in length.

I figured the limitation with cutting mat, was due to the size of the cutting mat itself, so if one had a longer cutting mat, it would support it.
I have some 11x17 ledger size vinyl sticker paper, that I was going to cut down to 8"x17".

I have yet to purchase the Portrait, I am just trying not to over buy for what I need to do.
If I can cut (accurately) w/out the mat, GREAT.
Thanks kjals.
Clearly I much to learn, so very much...
So I can cut w/out mat if I am using vinyl?
In theory (assuming I cut this down to 8" wide) I could cut this leaving the back layer intact?
(I purchased this before I knew anything about cutters)
