I like this Plugable: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00M7MYFAU
It has a detachable cable so it can work with USB-A or USB-C ports. It also has Ethernet.
I also like this Anker: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07DFYQXY7
It's for Type-C only, but considering that USB-C is the future, I don't think that's much of a limitation.
Mounted this hub on the underside of my desk with super strong 3M removable velcro. I used cable management clips on the back edge of the desk to hold cables when they're not plugged in.
I only have experience with Anker USB hubs and not USB-C. But Anker has generally been pretty good (cables, usb hubs) in my experience.
This Anker USB-C hub looks promising. However, it is more expensive than amazon basics stuff. But I think you get what you pay for.
Edit: I don't see any external powered USB-C hubs from Anker. Only see the powered USB hub from Anker that I bought.
have you tried this one? There are reviews that it cuts wifi as well 🤷🏼♂️
