I had one of these last me 20 months untill it met its fate with a concrete floor. Id recommend the 2gb ram, no ads model. Its 100$, can do anything a phone needs to do, is NOT an apple product, and gives you a taste of having a decent camera and mp3 player if you choose to migrate those as well.
