I made the transition to tubeless road tires on Friday and picked these up on a rec from my lbs.

I didn't even get 50 miles on them before they punctured to failure. After reading the reviews on specialized's site, I see I didn't have a unique exp. I ordered Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance Tubeless as a replacement and they've already performed better. The ride isn't as smooth or comfy as the specialized , but the reliability and peace of mind is totally worth it. Tubeless is still a better ride than a tubed tire any day of the week. Add in the reduction of flats - it's hard to even make an argument for tube bike tires. Much easier to install as well, win win all the way around.

@abe1x - if you're looking into UPF clothing, I've been very happy with Solbari's UPF line. Link. They're very active based but are great at being cool and protective without being offensive looking.
