With or without broth? Without broth, the cheapest I've seen is ~$15 for a Hakubaku 8-pack (almost $2 for a pack of noodles only): https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07P8BPH4Q/ . The packets seem small, but make a decent medium-sized bowl.

I've never tried them, but people here also love Sun Noodles: https://sunnoodle.com/Shop-1 . These are a bit cheaper than the above Hakubaku noodles, but need refrigeration (the Hakubaku ones are shelf-stable).

It's not available online but, if you have a brick-and-mortar Costco near you, they often have Sapporo Ichiban Momosan Chicken Ramen for around $11 for a 10-pack. The noodles are non-fried (dried, I believe). Note that Sapporo Ichiban makes a variety of ramen, and you want the packages labeled with "Momosan". While amazon also has this, the price is a lot higher and is not worth it, IMO (IIRC, it's around double the Costco price).

I have a couple I got from Amazon that I really like.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071Z6YX2M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - These are the best combination of price vs amount and taste.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P8BPH4Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - These are the best flavor you can get from Amazon IMO. A bit more expensive than the Hime noodles, but they taste so much better. They're popular enough that they're frequently out of stock on Amazon, though they tend to be in stock again with 3-5 days of them selling out.

If you're in the US:

  • (Online) Hakubaku fresh ramen. Amazon might sometimes have it for slightly less, but they often run out. Shelf-stable, needs no refrigeration, but best-by date is short: within six (6) months.

Each individual noodle packet may seem small, but it makes a decent-sized bowl once you add toppings.

  • (Online & maybe local) Sun Noodle ramen. Comes with broth flavoring, but you don't have to use it. Needs to be refrigerated/frozen.

  • (Online & local) I've heard that Hime ramen noodles are good, but I've yet to try them. Note that amazon is expensive. It'll likely be cheaper if you can find it locally. Does not need to be refrigerated.

  • (Local) Myojo ramen. Comes with broth flavoring, but you don't have to use it. Needs to be refrigerated/frozen, and so this is typically found in either the refrigerated or frozen sections of the store.
