mossgreg wallet case and iloome screenmate. screenmate is a no brainer and I will be getting one on every future phone. vastly increases the value of other cases which don't have front covers. the rubber housing on the mossgreg case reminds me of an orange parking code. have not yet dropped it in several months. Also have a neon green Fintie Commander which was on sale many months ago at $6.99 with free shipping. Well worth it, although some may call it "sticky" rubber and is admittedly not great for pants pockets on a warm day. Winter, I love it. I've gotten many compliments and with the iloome screenmate, it's one of my favorite cases! Have tried tech21 and the amount of the funky orange stuff they put in the case is so minimal it seems closer to a marketing ploy than a respectable protective case. Just felt cheap (and slippery). Also didn't allow my headphones (neither do the mossgreg or fintie but popping half the phone out of the mossgreg is very easy when I want to plug in a fat 8mm audio cable and listen to audio in the car). I have a seidio dilex and while attractive, does not give as much as protection my current setup with the mossgreg and screenmate. I tried otterbox in the store, and it was ugly (imo) and a supreme pain in the butt to assemble. Anywho...
I know it's a form you loathe, but I ended up getting 3 of these over the course of a few months because I liked the first one so much and I thought they were gonna sell out. No regrets. This phone will be useful for 10 year at a minimum. Used with the iloome screenmate, the case is nearly perfect for me. Holds 4 cards fine and a couple bills.
I flip the whole thing inside out to take calls, and that works well for me. there are 2 versions of the case -- light and dark. Dark has better leather quality in my exp and won't fray at the corners after turning inside out a few hundred times. flipping it inside out also lets the cover act as a pretty damn reliable stand. the rubber housing that holds the phone itself is most similar to the rubber in a parking cone. That's the only way I can describe it. This is the most confident I've been with a case and, go figure, I haven't even dropped it yet.
If you get it, get a screen cover because the rubbing of the cards affects the surface minimally. There's a rub mark where the top-most card touches the screen in my pocket. Not an issue. I love this setup. Favorite evarrrrrr.
