Sure. I’d consider trying a high-quality cartridge razor (Gillette pro glide or fusion 5), shaving cream (The art of shaving) and after shave (art of shaving is also my pick). I’d also recommend spending the $20 on a shave brush like this one.
Shave with, then across the grain for the first week. If no problems, try across, then against the grain and see if your skin will tolerate it. There may be areas where you can and areas you cannot go against.
I tried them and ultimately decided I would rather weather the cuts here and there to save money by going with this adjustable safety razor. You will cut yourself learning, and it stings a bit but doesn’t hurt all that bad. I get if that isn’t your thing, but 100 blades (~500-700 shaves) vs 5 cartridges for $20, yeah. And I’ve never made it a month on a cartridge while shaving my face and head.
Best of luck on finding the perfect method for you.
