I would buy something in the ~$20-$50 range. You don't want them to fall apart on you after 6 months, but you don't need 3 independent labs to calibrate and certify your calipers. I have these and I use my calipers every day for work. They're accurate enough for anything I need to know on the shop floor, though I can't use them for final buyoff of parts because they're not a calibrated piece of equipment in the company's database (my tape measure is lol)

If I was you I'd get these

They're basically the exact same as the $80 Starrett ones I have.
