I bought this precision screwdriver set 5 years ago, I still have all the bits and none of them are broken. I think it's a great cheap set if you aren't ready to pony up for Wiha or some similar brand
I bought this hair trimmer set 3 years ago and it's still holding up well. There are certainly more durable clippers out there if you have to use them all the time, or if you use them for haircuts, but for occasional trimming I'm very happy with this one
I really like this OXO pepper mill that I've had for a couple years. It has a ceramic grinder mechanism and one of the easiest coarseness adjusters I've ever used.
This isn't so much a BIFL item as it is a part for a BIFL item, but some replacement gaskets for my '90s kitchenaid mixer. I regreased it with Super Lube synthetic grease and that'll last it for a good long time.
Finally, Storacell battery holders are made in the US and are one of my favorite organizational tools
Don't buy silicone oil. Buy Super Lube 21030. It's on Amazon, but it should also be sold in hardware stores.
This one has worked well for my printers
What did you pack the bearings with originally?
Here's what I use: https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-21030-Synthetic-Grease/dp/B000XBH9HI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468280863&sr=8-1&keywords=superlube
Sliders get SIL-Glyd, pads get Disc Brake Quiet.
EDIT: I also sometimes use Super Lube for the sliders. It's a handy lube to just have around the house.
