The card that gets recommended the most is the Intel AX210. I have this and it works very well for me.

However, if you're Hackintoshing, then you will want a module that is natively supported by macOS, especially if you want AirDrop and other functionality to work. This means getting a Broadcom-based WiFi+BT module. This would suit your needs well in that regard.

The WiFi+BT module you bought only has an E key. You need a variety that has both an A and an E key. I too have a 2022 G14, and I just did the swap myself successfully. The one I bought was this one -- and as you can see it has the A and E keys.

If you're using lspci, you must be using Linux. Fellow Linux user here -- I'm on EndeavourOS and it's working well for me thus far. However, I was having kernel panics upon wake from suspend or hibernate that I traced to the MediaTek MT7922 (the stock WiFi+BT module). I''m hoping that the switch to the AX210 will solve the problem. I can tell you that already, I'm getting (a) much faster transfer speeds, (b) none of the random disconnects I used to get, and (c) I have not yet gotten those kernel panics I was having before.

The chassis for the 2023 G14 is virtually unchanged from the 2022 G14. Here is what I can tell you from my experiences (both helping community members, and my own with my own 2022 G14).

  • The thermal dissipation of the liquid metal cooling system and the chassis are excellent for a thin and light 14 inch gaming laptop. This machine does not circumvent the laws of physics and you will run into thermal constraints.
  • The 2022 G14 came with two GPU options: a Radeon RX 6800S and a Radeon RX6700S. The 6700S is nominally a good deal slower than the 6800S, and yet in part due to the thermal constraints the 6700S only ends up being ~10% slower in practice.
  • The AniMe Matrix draws power, and you will want to keep it off while you are out and about. It also adds a small amount of weight. I would not get it if I were you.
  • The laptop draws more than 125W. It takes a full 240W charger in order to keep it fed under load. The power brick is large and heavy. Fortunately for you, you can always buy a SlimQ 240W power adapter with an ASUS tip if you want something more compact and light. This is what I use to charge, and it works beautifully.
  • The 2023 G14, unfortunately, has the same WiFi+BT module as the 2022 G14. This is the MediaTek MT7922, and it's ... idiosyncratic, to put it mildly. Wild latency spikes are common, and there are many who report things like, oh, the module casually choosing to not function at all when the laptop wakes from sleep or hibernate. If you run across this situation, you can replace it with an Intel AX210 (this is the one that usually gets recommended).

Long story short: if I were you, I'd go for the RTX 4070. If history is any indicator, all of these GPUs will throttle under load, the 4080 and the 4090 more than the 4070. As a result, the differences in performance will likely not be all that large in sustained gameplay.

Intel AX210 IEEE 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.2 Tri Band Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Combo Adapter for Notebook

Note: Make sure you are grounded when you install it in your laptop and not wearing any socks because socks hold static electricity in your body.

Among the speed limitations and lag of the mediatek wifi card, I’m fairly certain this is why the enthusiast community here upgrades to the intel wifi card. Linked below, 3.5x my download speed and found the wifi connects much quicker after woken from sleep.
