I used to have a camper that was gas only. I found a kit to add an electric option. I was happy with that setup. It replaced the anode rod with a heating element and had a temperature control that attached to the outside of the tank. I wondered if there would eventually be a problem due to the lack of the anode, but It was not a problem in the time I owned it. I don't remember what brand I used but there are a lot of similar ones, like this. https://www.amazon.com/Electric-Converts-Electricity-Capacity-Compatible/dp/B0B3R4MX9N/ref=sxin\_16\_pa\_sp\_search\_thematic\_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.9aaeff48-3310-46df-94ec-ea59eda4c869%3Aamzn1.sym.9aaeff48-3310-46df-94ec-ea59eda4c869&cv\_ct\_cx=rv+electric+water+heater+conversion&hvadid=177794166622&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9017015&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=9928987496722368190&hvtargid=kwd-13110994204&hydadcr=25752\_9903411&keywords=rv+electric+water+heater+conversion&pd\_rd\_i=B0B3R4MX9N&pd\_rd\_r=4eef8961-0139-46e0-8bc2-f282a05e0adc&pd\_rd\_w=DJ3cq&pd\_rd\_wg=FWcZd&pf\_rd\_p=9aaeff48-3310-46df-94ec-ea59eda4c869&pf\_rd\_r=5N3BAYV4VEQ5JFZDE20M&qid=1683851449&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D&sr=1-1-2b34d040-5c83-4b7f-ba01-15975dfb8828-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzRjM2Q1RXR0ExR0NUJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTQxMTU0QUFWS0dDRzhFT0JaJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAyMzkxODMxT0o2UFNMRTZLUTNNJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3Bfc2VhcmNoX3RoZW1hdGljJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
