It is just a generic bluetooth OBD adapter. The one I bought in 2016 is no longer listed on Amazon, but this one is very similar: Android Bluetooth OBD adapter
The app that comes with it, works on ios... but for 13 and if you are happy, good to go. I got this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PJPHEBO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Because the Dr Prius devs said it is good, and it is! also around $13. But, the more expensive one gives a ton more data. TPMS per tire, and reads a whole lot more codes. I talked to the Dr Prius devs and they said their app is more focused on batteries, which is cool. But I want to see more.
For ten buck on amazon you can get a scanner.
Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Car Diagnostic Scanner Check Engine Light for Android -... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PJPHEBO/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_f9bEBbBVT7583
I bought this one from Panlong because it was considerably cheaper. It works perfectly with Leaf Spy Pro on Android.
Just get this for $11: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PJPHEBO
and the Torque pro app for $5
Maybe, although that would be bad luck. How many miles does your car have?
Do you have an ODB2 scanner for your car? Here's a cheap one I use, works fine for everything I've done with it. And it should work just fine with iPhone apps, despite the title.
Panlong Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Car Diagnostic Scanner Code Reader Check Engine Light for Android - Compatible with Torque Pro https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00PJPHEBO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_5C9Z47AZ1CS7CRGAXJPC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Then you can get the free MyGreenVolt app with the $1 upgrade to look at all of your battery cell voltages. Then you can confirm what the dealership told you.
I have this one which worked in my Kona EV and the Ioniq 5: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00PJPHEBO
I went for this one. Cheap, easy, works on Android. No reason to buy a fancy one, IMO, unless you got a specific need or you're a mechanic. Helps to leave it in the glove compartment so you can check codes whenever you need to.
