My first choice would be directly from Ham Radio Outlet, then possibly DX Engineering or Universal radio. Here's a good example of what happens on Amazon. The Yaesu FT-70DR is listed on the HRO website at $179.95 but is shown on Amazon for $199.95. From Ham Radio Outlet as the seller... That markup is due to having to pay Amazon for the listing. Then there's DX Engineering at $174.95 and Universal Radio at $169.95. If you look around, you can find a better price than Amazon for most any ham radio gear. And these aren't all the places selling amateur radio equipment.
