TLDR: Skip this and buy a quality wheel lock for $30-$100. It will protect your car more then a alarm/kill switch and its far cheaper.
Get a car alarm light https://www.amazon.com/Simulated-Warning-Anti-Theft-Flashing-Security/dp/B08Y7PB25D , these deter thefts significantly. Its a bluff that most thief's wont take.
If you really want an alarm, get something like this. Sure they can unplug it, but you'll know. https://www.amazon.com/Tracker-Locator-Waterproof-Realtime-Tracking/dp/B08PS1HDT1/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?keywords=car+alarm&qid=1679350215&sr=8-4-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExMUFWVTU2WjJZSTlNJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTU5NDU1MzY2UDA1RVYxRlRUTSZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTgwNzA0VVJMMkY0UUFER1NJJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
Late reply but, it would be better buying a wheel lock at that point. As for the kill switch, you can get one professionally installed at a non dealer for $200 or less. The $170 "kit" and the $500+ install fee is a straight cash grab. Hyundai is likely getting commissions from Compustar off the sales, and their own dealerships are installing them making them a large profit. From experience installing one of these "professional" kits in my old car using a you tube video, with a car lift, it took me an hour to install it, having to read instructions/etc. A professional who has done it multiple times could likely do it in under 30 minutes, and their going to charge you $500 and say it takes 4 hours lol. I hope the class action lawsuits get pushed against them, not only for failing to install a basic but essential safety feature, but also for profiteering off of something that should be a recall. It would be like Tesla knowing the adhesive on their glass roofs is bad, then offering to reglue it at their shop for $700 before the recall hits.
