I used gauze to “pad” my stitches bc they were really sensitive and used these bandaids to cover everything. I used this the first surgery and just now after my second surgery.

I was also told to keep covering my steristrips with more if they needed reinforcement and got these.

Also, wanted to mention this was exactly how my surgeon covered them day one and again at my first post-op before I had my stitches removed

I had a tri fusion catheter for about 4 months, showering was always a little tricky especially when still hooked up to IVs. Prior to getting the tri fusion for a bone marrow transplant I had to take a "class" that discussed what would happen and things to expect. They recommended Press and Seal plastic wrap to cover the tri fusion in the shower but that never held for me at all. I ended up using Tegaderm sheets. I used larger sheets but you can get smaller. I'd still recommend getting larger ones and see if a smaller one can work after you measure. You can always cut down the larger ones. It took several tries to learn to get it to seal perfectly but overall it's pretty easy to work with. Best wishes to you and hope this helps.
