Yea, I had that issue with my headphones where the stand was too low and connectors would be touching the table or just barely. Not really great for stress loading the cable. That's why I ended up getting something much taller. I also have a set of stands by Luxa ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MCVOILM) which is also well built and heavy and tall, but the flat top was leaving an indent in my headbands which I did not like, so I just went all out and got a high end stand and love it. Woo Audio's stand has adjustable height.
