There are SO MANY!!!! It’s ridiculously overwhelming lol.
I think you can do a hard water test to see which minerals/ contaminants are in your water so you can get one that targets what you want filtered out, but I was desperate and just purchased the one I could find decent info on from Reddit users (shower filters are talked about on r/SkincareAddiction sometimes, I just googled ‘shower filter Reddit’ and went off that).
I bought this filter - AquaBliss High Output Revitalizing Shower Filter (SF100) and have these filters (AquaBliss Replacement Cartridge SFC100 High Output Multi Stage Revitalizing Shower Filter) delivered every 4 months. I have used the SFC100 and SFC220 filters interchangeably in my SF100 filter, mainly when the SFC100 was sold out and I needed a new one. The difference between the 100 and 220 models is that 100 is marketed as high output as well as multi-stage. Since pressure matters to you, if you decide on Aqua Bliss I would go with the high output model. But both models cost and look and the exact same :) no idea why they offer two versions as it just makes researching your options even more complicated haha
There is still a faint chlorine smell to my water that this filter doesn’t completely erase, although it does reduce it significantly. I intend to purchase this additional filter (Envig CloraClear Chloramine Shower Filter) and stack it with the Aqua Bliss one because I’m extra. I heard about this filter from a Reddit post as well.
It is probably overkill and might not even do anything the other isn’t already doing, but after losing FISTFULS of hair I am scarred for life. A double filter may reduce my water pressure but it will give me peace of mind - I still am wary of showers due to the havoc the water wreaked on me, so the mental hurdle is the issue now. Two filters will help me keep my sanity and stop getting anxious every time I have to get wet…
Used and tested this one for chloramine, it works. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Q9B2ZK3
