I need a lunch or bentobox that can last for 12 or so hours with up to 4 small meals (there can be multiple of 1 item)
Zojirushi insulated bento. Kleen Kanteen also has food canisters but I personally like the option of being able to microwave the lunch container if need be.
I need a light-weight thermos, preferably one that won't sweat/condense on the outside
An ultra warm, compact jacket (would this be synthetic down? I'm not sure)
I've personally been eying North Face's Thermoball parka, but it depends how warm you really need.
A bag to put all of this stuff in? I have a timbuk2 bag that I got on sale, but I don't expect it to be the end-all-be-all
I recommend a backpack, but I'm old and have shoulder/neck problems.
A wallet that I can use my RFID-enabled BART card with, but that isn't 2-3" thick (I currently use a clamshell wallet that I picked up at Ace Hardware, lol)
I like keeping my commuter card on a lanyard looped to an outside strap of my bag so I don't have to dig through pockets for it -- I just yank on the lanyard to pull it out.
